Anna! (a Commedia Groupie from waaaay back)

Years ago, there were a pair of charming waifs from Meridies who came to as many i Sebastiani shows at Pennsic as they could: Anna and Elinor (sp?). After a few years Anna stopped showing up because she was alergic to Pennsic, but Elinor continued being there. As it happens, I had *no* idea where in Meridies they lived, though I did know that Elinor had married some guy who was/became a Calontir Knight... But what had become of Anna (who had walked on my back once to help work out some knots)? It turns out she was hanging around in Memphis where she got married, became a calligraphy laurel, and tried to start a Commedia troupe. When I entered the room for the A&S gathering in Grey Niche last night, she recognized me immediately. It took me a short while and a few hints to work out exactly who she was (her hair is darker now, and she looks less under-nourished).

Thanks to Todd & Beth for bringing me to this thing. They are an entertaining couple with a 15-month-old girl named LJ.

I'm going to have dinner with her on Thursday night to talk Commedia a bit more.

It's fun meeting distant SCA groups. It's even more fun when I know someone there. Last night was a great night!

 
Side Note: Because the storage locker's building's elevator stopped working, Denise lost some valuable time, and was unable to move out of the house complettely yesterday. Hopefully today she'll be able to complete the process, and then lie down and take a long overdue nap, or maybe even hot bath. Thanks to M&M for loaning space in their locker and supplying some additional man-power.
